I’m sure that you’ve heard that expression many times. Some people like to get lost in crowds: meet the mega church. Some people like to be involved in large social activities to benefit the community: meet the medium-sized church. Some people want a traditional church building to meet in but want to know everyone: meet the average small church in America. And then there are these.
Some people want to fellowship with just a few families and develop a close intimacy with all the children of the families: meet the home church.
Of course I am painting with a broad brush and we all know that there are lots of other reasons that people gravitate to various church entities and organizations. The point here though is follow your heart, but in so doing make sure that it lines up with the heart of God because He just might want you where your first preference isn’t.
I Corinthians 12:18 seems to indicate that is still His perogative.
