When we pray for the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, we are asking for this profound peace. It is a deeper, more lasting peace that does not depend on things going our way, but rather on our willingness to allow God to order things in his way and with his timing.
The gift of a peace that the world cannot give (John 14:27).
